If it does wake you up, the following pop-up text will appear:ĭepending on where you sleep, the Monster can appear at various distances from you. If the Monster does not wake you up, you will watch a cutscene of a random point of interest. If it comes down to this, you will be forcefully awoken to the Monster idling nearby. If you were to fall asleep within the Monster's territory, you would become a target (of which only one can be chosen) for the Monster to ambush you while you're sleeping. However, this event isn't without its potential end to your play through. Isle has a sleep system in play that acts as a transitional break between each day. On this day, you cannot fight back or hide. After those 20 seconds, you will die this is a consequence of the Monster being the most dangerous and inevitably killing you. On Day 6, the game gives you roughly 20 seconds to finish anything you would like to do. With every day, these attacks will grow more frequent and he will give you less time to react. This move can only be interrupted by looking at him, which will scare him off for the time being. However, rather than disappearing after a second or two, he will proceed to rush towards you in an attempt to kill you along with whatever is in his way. If you are within his territory in this phase, there is a chance he will appear around you again. As the monster generally hides from UV light, the lack thereof means the Monster can now appear during the day. With a tropical storm approaching the Isle, the sky becomes overcast, reducing the amount of sunlight that reaches the Isle. This Phase is where the monster becomes more active and dangerous. Though, it is impossible to kill them as they cannot die in this state and to target the Monster, you would have to look at them and as such, they will disappear
*It is also possible to target and shoot the Monster at any given point when they appear apart from nightly encounters (where the target and shooting is automatically done). *As a note, it is possible to "touch" the Monster when they appear to stalk someone before Day 3, but the likeliness of doing so is very low, as you would have to approach it without looking at it. A text would appear signaling the Monster is currently watching you: It can, however, appear momentarily during the day to watch a player within his territory, but it would flee if a player were to look at it. The Monster for the first two days remains a threat, but only through nightly encounters when the player falls asleep and is susceptible to an ambush. His approach to these methods of stalking and killing make him a lingering threat to everyone on the Isle. Being a hostile enemy, The Monster is constantly on the prowl in search of players to stalk and/or kill.
